Reliable SMS and RCS for Banking & Finance

When every second counts, email alone isn’t quick enough for fraud alerts or urgent updates. With QuickSMS, you can send trusted, time-sensitive messages to your banking, insurance or finance customers right when they need them.

The biggest messaging challenges in finance

Time-critical alerts that can't wait

Overdraft warnings, fraud alerts, and one-time passwords need to reach customers within seconds. If SMS is unbranded or routing is unreliable, urgent messages may be ignored, mistrusted, or delayed. Failed delivery can lead to regulatory and reputational risks.

Smishing is eroding customer trust

Customers are more cautious about texts from banks. Without verified sender branding, even real messages can be ignored, mistaken for scams or deleted. This lowers engagement and gradually erodes the trust you’ve built.

Fraud disputes are slow and costly

Handling disputes by phone frustrates customers and increases your costs. Verifying a transaction by phone takes time with hold music and repeated questions, while a chat could solve it much faster. Standard SMS doesn’t allow for this kind of interactive, two-way conversation.

Security is non-negotiable in banking

The QuickSMS platform meets the security standards your industry requires. Compliance is essential in financial services, so everything is built with that in mind.

You’re backed by our ISO 27001 certification, Cyber Essentials Plus, and full GDPR compliance. All your data stays in the UK, with no overseas processing. This is especially important for FCA-regulated firms.

How to reduce your messaging costs with RCS

You’re paying for four messages when one will do.

In banking, one customer interaction often needs several SMS messages. For example, a fraud alert with masked card details, transaction value, and merchant name usually takes 2 SMS messages. If you add a confirmation request and a status update, you end up using 4 credits for one dispute.

SMS: 4 credits, one job done

Most banking messages are longer than 160 characters. Account alerts, OTPs with branding, and dispute follow-ups often take 2 or 3 SMS messages each. When you multiply that by millions of messages each month, costs add up quickly.

RCS: 1 rich message,
lower cost

With RCS Single Message, you can send the same fraud alert in one branded, verified message with unlimited characters as a single charge rather than paying per 160-character SMS fragment. Tap-to-confirm buttons replace reply prompts. Transaction details, merchant info, and dispute options are all in one interactive message your customer knows and trusts.

Even better, RCS lets customers resolve alerts right in the message. There’s no need for follow-up reminders, status texts, or calls. You go from using 4 SMS credits to just 1 rich message, which boosts engagement and speeds up resolution.

Carrier-grade messaging, built for finance

Reliable messaging is critical in financial services. Transaction alerts, fraud notifications, overdraft warnings and authentication codes must be consistently delivered.

We’ve built QuickSMS to handle your highest-stakes messaging at scale. Direct operator connections, audited routes, and resilient infrastructure keep your messages moving, even during peak demand. You get carrier-grade SMS and RCS messages that meet the speed, security, and accreditation standards FCA-regulated firms require.

Built for banking-grade traffic

We handle high-volume, sensitive traffic: fraud alerts, OTPs, transaction notifications and customer onboarding, with the security credentials to match.

Flexible to fit
your setup

Use us as your primary provider or alongside other routes if that fits your strategy. There are no minimum volume commitments, and you maintain full control over your traffic distribution.

Carrier-grade routing
you can rely on

Direct operator connections and audited routes keep your messages moving, even during peak demand or unexpected disruption.

The reassurance of direct routes

Not all SMS traffic is the same.

Direct routes use official operator agreements, giving you predictable delivery, full traceability, and regulatory compliance.

Grey routes use carrier loopholes. They might seem cheaper, but they are unreliable, unregulated, and often used by fraudsters to spoof sender IDs and intercept OTPs.

With QuickSMS, your messages travel through direct, audited routes only. There are no shortcuts or unnecessary risks.

What is RCS messaging?

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the next step in customer messaging. Unlike SMS, which is limited to 160 characters of plain text, RCS lets banks and finance providers send branded messages with images, transaction details, interactive buttons, and verified sender info directly to a customer’s phone. No app download is needed.

RCS messages show your organisation’s name, logo, and a verified sender badge, making it easier for customers to spot real messages and avoid scams. Fraud alerts can include tap-to-confirm buttons, and disputes can be resolved through two-way chat. If a customer’s phone doesn’t support RCS, the message automatically switches to SMS.

In the UK, about 70% of mobile users can now receive RCS, thanks to widespread Android use and growing iOS support from Apple. QuickSMS supports RCS with automatic SMS fallback, so you can reach everyone.
